"Every mark I make is a building block, reacting to the one before it, piecing together something whole. Each line is a glimpse into my mind now living out of me and on paper. I create the drawings in hopes to capture an understanding of my emotions."
Biography
Kindra Hayes is a sculptor and mixed media artist based in Philadelphia, PA. She studied at Kent State University and received her BFA focused in sculpture. Her current body of work gives new identity to materials commonly known to viewers. From insulation foam to apparel textiles she constructs biological paintings that feel both familiar and otherworldly.
